Please Follow these steps for quick and easy setup.
Step 1: Before you begin the setup process,
it's important to gather some essential information. Make sure you have the
following details readily available: Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID): This is the
name of your wireless network. Wi-Fi Network Password: The password used to
connect devices to your Wi-Fi network. Google Account: Ensure you have a Google
Account to link your Nest Camera to.
Step 2: To proceed with the setup, you'll
need to download the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet. The app is
available for both iOS and Android devices. Open your respective app store,
search for "Google Home," and install the app.
Step 3: Connect your Nest Camera to a power
source using the provided power cable and adapter. Ensure that the camera is
plugged in and receiving power. Step
4: Launch the Google Home app on your
smartphone or tablet. Sign in to your Google Account if you haven't already.
Step 5: In the Google Home app, tap on the
"+" icon in the top-left corner to add a new device. Select "Set
up device" and choose "Have something already set up?" or
"New Devices" if you're using the Google Home app for the first time.
Choose a home if you already have one, or tap on "Create a new home"
to continue. Then tap on "Next".
Step 6: The app will begin searching for
compatible devices. When prompted, select the "Nest Cam" option from
the list of available devices, or choose "Camera" then "Nest
Cam", depending on the one you're setting up.
Step 7: The app will prompt you to scan a
QR Code.
Step 8: Follow the on-screen instructions
to complete the camera setup process. This will involve naming your camera,
selecting a location, and customizing settings according to your preferences.
Step 9: The Google Home app will now guide
you through the process of connecting your Nest Camera to your Wi-Fi network.
It will display a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from
the list and enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.
Step
10: Once you've completed the camera setup, the Google Home app will finalize
the process. It will perform a quick test to ensure the camera is connected
successfully. After the test is complete, you can access your camera's live
feed and adjust additional settings within the app.
