Fabulous rare mid #19th century French block printed cotton curtain panel/ yardage. This delightful textile was both roller and Block printed.
Stunning Persian blue floral motif with bronze leaves, lovely aged / tea stained color ground.  Fabulous picotage or "pinning" detail added by using wooden blocks with various size brass pins to create subtle background texture and color. Gathered at top & hand stitched to linen tape. Small cotton edging in Burgundy hand stitched to one edge.

Condition: Some signs of age and use. Some very slight inconstancy to the background aging that adds to the charm! Some small spots that blend in fairly well. An area at top with a number small holes most notable when held to light.  See last photos for examples.
**Please see photos and use zoom for additional condition and item  detail.**

Approximate measurements: 14" at gathered top then  27” wide X 62” long
Carefully hand washed, pressed and ready to use.

Wonderful to use as is or  appropriate to repurpose for many projects including  pillows, cushions, curtains, doll clothes, dolls, crafting, quilting, lampshades &  more!

I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but condition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected. The timeworn look and signs of their unique history is part of what makes them so charming and special!
