Up for auction is an original RAPCO Tumble Stones Rock Polisher, made in Chicago in the early 1970s. This is the upgraded version with the improved white ridged canister, a sturdier design that replaced the earlier thin-walled yellow jar.

This set is absolutely remarkable in that it has never been used. Everything inside is just as it left the factory more than fifty years ago. The instruction manual is crisp and complete, all of the jewelry mountings and accessories are still sealed in their original bags, and the packets of polishing grit remain in their shrink wrap. Nothing has been touched or opened. The tumbler itself runs smoothly, and it still has that “out of the box” appearance.

Box measures 16in X 11.5IN X 5in.

The box is in good, solid condition, with vibrant, eye-catching graphics that really capture the era. While it shows only light wear from storage, the colors remain bright and display beautifully. Finding a complete RAPCO set in this condition is extremely rare, as most were well-used and missing parts.

This is a fantastic piece for collectors of vintage science and hobby kits, mid-century toys, or anyone who remembers learning about geology through these early tumblers. It would make a superb display piece or could even be carefully used today.

A true time capsule from the early 1970s, complete, unused, and ready for the next collector who will appreciate its history.
