DETAILS OF ITEM

This is a rare set of dual purpose standard playing cards as well as the Japanese card game of Hanafuda in one deck. Each card measures 3.15 inches by 2.13 inches in size. It includes a total of 56 cards comprised of a standard deck of 52 cards, 2 jokers and 2 blank cards used to substitute any missing cards that may go missing. The Hanafuda deck of 48 cards is used by the ace through queen of each suit with the flower pictures showing on the center of each card (see photo). The sleeve protecting the plastic case reads "Alaska."

This set is mint having never been opened and safely stored these many years in a Japanese Kura (family treasure house) making them New Old Stock (NOS).  Its age is from the 1950's.
