DESCRIPTION:
This is a nice cityscape landscape oil painting. This painting depicts a canal scene in Venice, Italy, with a gondola boat and architectural buildings. There is a tag on the front of the picture frame identifying the artist as DeVity with additional information on the back of the frame (see photos). The painting has been framed in a wooden and composition picture frame (see photos). The framed painting measures in total about 16.5 inches high, and it is about 14.5 inches wide. The painting portion without the picture frame or the matting measures about 10 inches high, and it is about 8 inches wide. The painting has been painted in an Impressionist/Expressionist style. The painting is vintage. This item came from an estate liquidation. The frame has some finish losses, some chips and losses to the decorative composition elements, some discoloration and scratches to the fabric interior liner, some scuffs, some scratches, and some wear (see photos). The painting has minimal wear (see photos and decide the age, the origin, and the maker). This is a nice vintage painting of a Venetian Italian canal to add to your collection.
