DESCRIPTION:
This is a nice old, hand-painted original American Impressionist landscape oil painting. The artwork depicts an American cityscape view of a church and a building, with trees and flowers (see photos). The art is framed in what looks to be the original wood and gesso gold gilt gilded picture frame. The artwork is painted on a canvas covered artist panel board. The painting is signed by the American artist: Helen Mueller Nelson. There is a framer's stamp on the backside from Mishawaka, Indiana (see photos). The painting is the work of a talented artist. The painting framed measures in total about 28 inches high and 24 inches wide. The painting portion without the picture frame measures about 24 inches high, and it is about 20 inches wide. The landscape is an old, hand-painted original oil painting. This item came from an estate liquidation (see photos and decide the age, the origin, and the maker). I assign no value to the picture frame, and it is included for free with the purchase of the painting. The picture frame has losses, cracks to the gesso, and signs of wear (see photos). There is a streak of discoloration at the top of the painting (looks to be a streak of cleaner that has removed the buildup of the dust/dirt/varnish that has built up over time. The painting has some wear (see pictures and/or the written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice original artist signed American landscape oil painting to add to your collection.
