Wonderful George III 'Maundy' set  -  Not strictly Maundy - see notes below 

Very high grades for circulation coins, have kept them as a set rather than individual coins.  

This set is presented in small storage box, and coins in pouches.

Maundy coins from pre 1820, were also used as circulation coins. It was not until after this date that coin sizes became standard, and Maundy sets were issued separately from circulation coinage.

The first 'Maundy Set' was undated and during the reign of Charles II - which was presented by the King (to whom?), in what has been described by some historians, as a PR stunt.
