Ex. George Kamin Collection

Superb, very rich specimen of Petzite, Native Gold, and Hessite from the Mayflower mine, Norwegian Mining District, Madison County, Montana, USA. This is a classic and important Montana locality for rare gold telluride minerals and good specimens are very seldom seen. This is a particularly rich specimen (better in person!) with thin leaves of Gold interspersed between abundant masses of silvery Petzite and lesser Hessite. Bears several old collection labels as well. Rare!!

We are proud to present the collection of Dr. George Kamin of Arcadia, California. Dr. Kamin, a respected physicist and biotechnical engineer with numerous patents and peer-reviewed papers to his name, build a large and superb collection of minerals from around the world, specializing in rare element minerals, rare species, and fluorescent minerals. We recently acquired the bulk of the Kamin collection and will be offering select minerals online in the coming months! Stay tuned for more!
