SEASON TWO
Joseph Pearce, author of Through Shakespeare's Eyes: Seeing the Catholic Presence in the Plays, hosts this wonderful EWTN production. Join Pearce as he examines three of Shakespeare's plays - The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet, and King Lear - for their references to Shakespeare's Catholicism. While the impact Shakespeare had on literary history is undeniable, his strong Catholic faith - during a time of rampant anti-Catholic sentiment - is often overlooked. Pearce takes us through each play, as seen in Catholic context.
