This locomotive is new & unused. The external plastic wrapping on the box has been removed but the box is in unused condition and everything inside appears totally untouched. The model's shell is separate from the chassis in the box, and still in their own compartments. It looks as if the locomotive has never been out of its box, let alone on a track. That is the reason the photos are all taken in the box. All paperwork is included, as well as sealed packets of user-appliable parts. As I said, it is untouched.

Please note. 

This is an early series Life-Like Proto 2000 GP9 II model. These early series models are known to have issues with broken axle gears - even from new. That is their reputation. The issue was sorted in later series, when Walthers took over production.

To cover the possibility of cracked axle gears, I will include 4 (four) genuine WalthersProto replacement geared wheelsets for this locomotive - just in case.

I've gathered all my locomotives over the past 25 years. The vast majority are new. I never ran them or took them out of the box. I just kept them stored as collectibles. Most are VINTAGE items, so they really should be SERVICED & LUBED before use.
