1936 FORD FIRE ENGINE
New in Box

With a rugged commercial chassis, a powerful flathead V-8, and an affordable price tag, the 1936 Ford Fire Engine was the perfect choice for small Depression-era communities. This dependable truck proved to be a great investmentfor Lenmore, California, where it served faithfully for over three decades. Purchased by the Woodside Fire Protection District and used for parades and public relations after its retirement, "Woodside 36" was called back into service once in the late 1970s when the town's in-service engine wouldn't start. Responding valiantly, the old engine quickly extinguished the blaze. Sold to a private collector in 1989, it has now been restored and is often seen at special events throughout the San Francisco Bay area.
