1958 LINDBERG ARNOLD HOYER MANUFACTURED ARCHED TOP & BACK 16 INCHES (17 INCHES) Pick Guitar
Made in West Germany
1958 A single cutaway arched top pick guitar credited by LINDBERG manufactured by Arnold Heuer in West Germany.
Around the 1950s, Heuer released many deformed guitars, but it seems that also produced the Standard Line.
The body is arched top and arched back.
It is a normal F hole type
There are marks depending on the age, but there is no damage that affects play.
There was severe warping, but it was repaired, so there is no any major warping at present.
It is in a player condition at present.
It's over 60 years old, so the wood is completely dry and makes the withering sound blues players are looking for.
Currently, I was using it with light cutting.
The tone is crisp and dry.
Probably it has a stronger sense of attack than sustain.
The neck is not a short scale, but rather a large body (probably 16 inches) or the balance may make it look like that.
The body size is 43cm/16.92" between the bridge and tailpiece, and 53cm/20.86" from the non-cutaway side to the end. 22 frets with 0 frets.
The string height is about 1.8mm/0.07" at the 0th fret and about 2.8mm/0.11" at the 12th fret.
Also, the reason why the neck looks short may be that the head is small in terms of balance.
The neck length is about 47cm/18.50" from the nut to the neck end, so probably it's standard.
The body size is listed as 16 inches, but it might be worth 17 inches.
German-made guitars are rarely sold outside of Europe and there is little information about them, but the history of manufacturing stringed instruments such as violins is long, and the woodworking technology is quite advanced.
The top and back are well arched, showing the high level of woodworking technology.
The paint peeling of the size of a grain of rice can be seen on the side part.
The white background is due to lighting, so it is not a marks or peeling.
Of course, there is no problem with the remaining position (about 2 cm/0.78" or less) after the bridge.
The string height was higher in the original position, it was set so to sticky.
The 12th fret string height mentioned earlier is the original position measurement.
The guitar stand is not included as it is for shooting purposes only.
