ORIGINAL PROMOTIONAL CARD DISPLAY BOARDS
1994
This is a nice collection of original promotional display
boards for the Manic Street Preachers third studio album “The Holy Bible”,
rightfully regarded as a masterpiece and their finest hour, it is one of the
most disturbing and darkest albums ever produced, the album mostly written by
Richey Edwards reflected his mental state at the time.
The lot consists of a large folding reproduction of Jenny
Saville’s Triptych artwork for the album’s cover, printed on thick white card
with two fold lines, opened it measures 110cm by 51cm approx.
And two card signs on thick card advertising the album,
these measure 61cm by 25cm approx.
And thirdly an album sized promo advert printed on gloss
paper
note the 30cm ruler in the left hand side of the second picture to show scale
CONDITION
The triptych has some surface wear, noticeable corner bumps,
The rectangular display cards have some marking and scratch
marks, and are slightly warped.
The album sized advert is noticeably creased and has a
cigarette burn hole in it
The display pieces are showing some noticeable signs of
wear, else are in generally good acceptable condition as seen.
