The Holy Blood of Jesus

Single Decade Rosary

Beautiful single decade rosary with a 3/4" round silver-toned medal with the image of the reliquary kept in the Basilica of the Holy Blood in Bruges, Belgium which holds the Precious Blood of Jesus traditionally collected by Joseph of Arimathea at the Crucifixion. The other side of the medal has the image of Jesus with the Cross and the long container that actually holds the Holy Blood. The rare medal is vintage - I don't know how old it is but it's still shiny and shows very little wear. The 1-1/2" silver-toned crucifix was made in Italy and has "Terra Catacumba" from the Roman Catacombs encased at the foot of the cross.
The chaplet was handmade by me in our home in the USA.
The eleven beads are all 8 mm, genuine Czech glass, faceted and fire-polished. The Our Father bead is a metallic gold/crystal bicolor. The ten Hail Mary beads are a ruby red/crystal bicolor.
About 10" long, chaplet comes gift boxed and with the following:
  • Carry pouch
  • Rosary & Divine Mercy pamphlets
  • The 15 Promises of Mary card
  • The Holy Blood of Bruges prayer card
  • gift bag and tissue paper
The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic basilica in Bruges, Belgium. The church houses a relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders after the second Crusade.

The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
