A gorgeous all rhinestone evening bag hand made in Hong Kong from the early ’60s.
The prong-set sparkling rhinestones are set on a background of twisted gold metallic threads which makes for a stunning combination - today's rhinestones do not compare to the sparkle and intensity of vintage rhinestones - the clasp is 2 huge rhinestones which are just gorgeous.
There is a gold satin lining with a small pocket for a mirror or some money - there is some light soiling on the lining (mostly at the bottom of the lining which looks like it may have had a pen inside it) which is to be expected as the purse has been used but no one will see that except you.
Measures 6-½” at widest point across the bottom, 5” top to bottom & appx. ½“ wide across the frame area at the top - the entire chain is 31“ long but when carrying it the drop is about 12-½“.
There are a few rhinestones missing - about 7 - on the lower corner of one side but that can be the side that is held against the body & no one would notice anyway with all the rhinestones on there - this is a vintage evening bag & it is not going to be perfect as though one just purchased it at a mall but that is what makes these vintage items so unique & one-of-a-kind - no one would notice the missing rhinestones unless they started to examine the purse & at night no one would ever notice it.
