Chili peppers possess many health-promoting and disease-preventing properties. Their main active compound, capsaicin, has antibacterial, anti-cancer, and cholesterol-lowering effects. It also enhances blood flow, releases euphoric endorphins into the bloodstream, and boosts mood in parrots.

Additionally, capsaicin has astringent and anti-irritant properties and is a natural digestive aid.
