VTG Zuni Hoop Dancer Ring Size 7.25 Multi Stone Inlay Sterling Turquoise Signed

Here's a magnificent vintage ring featuring a Native American hoop dancer in motion. Several different types of gemstones (turquoise, coral, onyx, white and yellow mother of pearl, and other materials) are set in a channel inlay technique to craft the figure. Some of the turquoise and MOP pieces have been carved to create texture within the figure. Silver dots are used to line the head and for the ends of the sash at the bottom. Silver is also used for the arcs to create the hoops.

The ring is a size 7.25.

The shank is a little wider than 1/8".

The ring face is about 1  1/2" wide and 2  5/8" tall.

It weighs 15.2 g.

The artist's hallmark is "J.L. Zuni", who could be associated with the Laate (Laahte) artisan family. We believe this ring was created in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
