Recently found in a great old Palm springs estate is this Antique Silver Necklace with 3 Carved Shell Cameos and multiple Marcasites. The Marcasites are set and the Cameos are prong set. The necklace is delicate and unsual with its center carved bouquet of flowers cameo framed by 2 profile cameos of young women. Could it have been a special order for someone who had 2 daughters... or a gardener who loved flowers and wanted a special necklace?

Marked: 835 on the chain and there is an illegible makers hallmark on the back of the center cameo...please see photos.

835 silver is 83.5% pure silver and was used in the late 19th century and early 20th century in Europe and Scandinavia before 925 sterling became more prevalent.

Measures: The necklace measures 16.5" in length and the center cameo has a 1 1/2" drop.

Everything is original and it retains its deep rich patina. All marcasites are present and there have been No repairs.
