A wonderful cornucopia, modeled entirely by hand with transparent glass with inclusions of white opaline, made in Murano - Venice in the early decades of the 20th century, 1900, attributable to Fulvio Bianconi for the Paolo Venini glassworks.
Useful information for the evaluation of the object:
The vase is not signed, but it takes a lot from the artistic works of Fulvio Bianconi for Paolo Venini, famous glass masters of Murano. From an internet search we find that Fulvio Bianconi has made many cornucopias similar to ours also with this same type of glass, so between transparent and opaline, all estimated or sold from a minimum of 1,000-1,200 euros up to 2,000-2,500 euros, this to give an idea of the value of similar glasses.
Final thoughts on the subject:
The artistic level is very high, note the beauty of the object, made entirely by hand, with glass pulled with pincers and twisted on itself, then blown out on the mouth, a workmanship of the highest quality. Note how the pulled glass is full of internal white filaments, as if there were inclusions of a different glass in the transparent glass, or as if the vitrification occurred in a particular way, in fact the glass seems to be caramelized sugar. For this reason the object was probably not signed, because the glass is not smooth on the surface but is full of micro grooves, all stepped, and with such a pulled glass, signing it with the diamond tip becomes truly impossible.
