Title in English: Sagas of Icelanders
Description: This is a standard edition of The Sagas of Icelanders (Íslendingasögur), published by The Icelandic Sagas Publishing House (Íslendingasagnaútgáfan), a leading publisher of Old Norse and Old Icelandic texts. These sagas are among the finest examples of medieval Icelandic literature, offering a unique window into the Viking Age and early Icelandic society.
The Sagas of Icelanders are prose narratives, primarily based on historical events that took place in Iceland during the 9th, 10th, and early 11th centuries—an era known as the Saga Age. They focus on genealogy, family histories, and the personal struggles of early Icelandic settlers, vividly portraying conflicts over honor, power, and survival. These sagas provide not only compelling storytelling but also valuable historical insights into the social and legal structures of medieval Iceland.
Most of the sagas were recorded in the 13th and 14th centuries by unknown scribes. Some scholars attribute Egils saga to Snorri Sturluson, a prominent historian, poet, and politician of the time, though this remains a subject of debate.
A cornerstone of Old Norse literature, The Sagas of Icelanders are essential for anyone interested in Viking history, medieval storytelling, and Nordic cultural heritage.

My name is Árni and I live in Iceland. I'm not a professional trader or seller - I'm scientist and teacher, but it so happened that I sell here the Icelandic Golden Root, Angelica archangelica, Arctic Thyme, Icelandic books, Bibles, etc. Why? Because I am interested in comparative linguistics and for many years I have been collecting and studying bible texts in many languages. I collect Bibles in different world languages and I spend a lot of money on the purchase of these. So I decided to sell the excess items in eBay to get some money for buying a new books and Bibles.
You should definitely visit my little eBay-store if you are interested in Icelandic medicinal plants growing in harsh arctic nature, surounded by the mountains, glaciers and volcanoes, which can significantly enhance your health. I can also provide different Icelandic books like Bibles, dictionaries, textbooks and etc., that can enrich your multilingual library.
