Item description:
Particular painting, mixed technique, oil and acrylic on cardboard, signed at the bottom "L. Moreno", made by Luis Guevara Moreno, an important Venezuelan artist born in 1926 and died in 2010. Equipped with a black lacquered wooden frame and protective glass. The painting presents some canons of abstraction, together with elements of surrealism and depicts two ancient oil lamps suspended in the air and on the back an abstract composition full of shades and drips of color.
Useful information for the evaluation of the object:
From an internet search we find that this artist boasts numerous auction results, and the eight highest results we found range from 2,500 euros to 63,742 for a mixed technique sold in 2015 at Sotheby's, all plus the auction fees of 25-30%. One of these eight results, namely the seventh, sold in 2019 at the Hampel auction house in Munich for €3,430, including costs, entitled "Toro" was made with a mixed technique exactly identical to our painting and also has the same measurements. All this to give an idea of ​​the value of the works of this artist both in general and in particular for works very similar to ours.

Luis Guevara Moreno ( Valencia , Venezuela , June 21, 1926 – Caracas , Venezuela , November 26, 2010) was a pioneer artist of Venezuelan geometric abstract art and also the most important Venezuelan artist in engraving. He was part of the Los Dissidents group in the middle of the last century. During his professional career, he received the National Painting Award in 1959 and the National Drawing and Engraving Award in 1969.
