A writing instrument as meaningful as a legendary weapon in a world where "the pen is mightier than the sword", Montegrappa's The Witcher: Mutation series of pens is a tribute to Andrzej Sapkowski's literary mutant warrior protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, slaying monsters who threaten the survival of civilization and protecting Princess Cirilla of Cintra. The fantasy saga has gathered millions of fans through its Netflix series, comics, and video games, inspiring a detailed synthesis of aesthetics. This rollerball pen is a limited edition of 200 pieces only and is not just a writing tool but a true symbol of strength, magic, and adventure. Evoking the Witcher's battledress, the cap and barrel is laminated with textured faux leather, antiqued sterling silver mimicks Geralt's armor plating and studs, wolf medallion at the finial, and belt buckle by the cap's base. Pearl gray celluloid is utilized along the grip section and blind cap. The cap is a symbol of Geralt's dual nature, navigating between the real and supernatural worlds, it houses the Witcher's two swords, one of which serves as the clip and on the opposite side, a removable piece sheathed in a scabbard and can be used as a letter opener, both made of brass alloy. Additional design elements include the cap stitching, clawed battle wounds and the limited edition number by the blind cap's tip. It writes in black ink and packaged in a custom wooden display case with a wolf medallion inlay, wrapped in an inner case adorned with maps of The Witcher’s mystical lands. It contains a genuine leather pen roll with two replicas of the Witcher's reward coins and convenient pockets for storage. The length of the pen is 5.9" / 149 mm. The Diameter is 18.5 mm.

Founded by industrialists Edwige Hoffman and Heinrich Helm in 1912 as "Manifattura pennini d’oro e penne stilografiche" which translates to “Manufacturer of gold nibs and fountain pens”.
