This is a very high quality pair of solid sterling silver napkin or serviette rings.
They are clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1932 with the maker's mark of Joseph Gloster Ltd. They carry a Patent Number beside the hallmarks - 325841. The engine-turned decoration features slightly fluted and beaded edges with a beautiful horn inner lining. The horn is firmly attached. There is an italicised initial in the cartouche - could be a D, C or T. These napkin rings are in excellent condition. The box is original, the hinges good and the clasp tight. There is some wear on the box, but nothing more than one would expect from an item of this age.
