Offered here is " The Original Confederate Colt: The Story of Leech & Rigdon and Rigdon-Ansley Revovlers " by William Albaugh III and Richard Steuart, published by Greenberg in 1953. This edition includes many black and white illustrations plus photographs.
This pre-owned hardcover text is in Very Good condition. The book has light brown cloth-covered boards with black titles along the spine. The boards are sun tanned near the edges, but otherwise clean and unmarked. The spine has small 3 chips on its back joint (2 are pinpoint in size; the third is 3mm). The corners and the head/tail of the spine are lightly rubbed. The top and bottom edges of the book show light wear, and there is a 2-mm chip on the top edge. The book is slightly bowed. The book block shows a few light stains on its bottom and fore edge; the top of the book block has moderate foxing. The front paste-down has an inscription from previous ownership (dated 1955); otherwise the pages are unmarked. The paste downs and free end papers show age tanning. The title page and its verso have light soiling along the binding and top edges. There is a light stain near the bottom corner that runs throughout the book's pages to varying degrees, 0 - 2.25-inches; otherwise the pages appear clear and bright. Also included with this book is its original unclipped dust jack which is in Good Plus condition. The dust jacket has a few smaller tears along it's edges (max 0.75-in), as well as a 3-inch tear on the front panel (the interior showing removed tape corresponding to this tear). The dust jacket is sun tanned, with a few stains, smudging and some foxing near the front fore edge The spine is heavily sun tanned, with minor chips and tears at it's head and tail, and a 0.25-inch chip along the joint.
