Up for sale is a "One Penny Model", made circa 1844.

Description: The piece is made from an outer copper ring with a nickel-zinc center, and measures about 23mm in diameter.

These were designed and privately issued by the Birmingham engraver Joseph Moore in the 1844-48 period to offer a possible substitution for the heavy British copper penny.

Condition: Some general wear, old patina to the piece. Please examine the photographs for further details and qualities.
