Chlorophytum comosum Ocean - Ocean Spider Plant Care & Info Guide

Light: Bright, indirect light. Will tolerate some shade; however, this will slow its growth rate and it may lose its stripes. Avoid direct sunlight.

Water: These plants can endure a little neglect although check each week and water accordingly throughout the growing season. Less water is needed in the winter.

Temperature: Average household temperatures are fine (above 13°C). These are fairly tough plants so should survive temperatures above 8°C in winter if the soil is kept fairly dry.

Feed: Feed with a weak solution every few weeks during the growing season. Do not feed during the winter. VIEW PLANT NUTRITION

Care Tip: Baby Spiders can be pressed down into compost and left to self-root, (or place in a jar of water covering the roots), giving you a second plant to pass on to friends and family.

Air Purifying: This plant filters airborne toxins and is part of our clean air plant collection.

Height and Growth Rate: Ultimate height 70cm. Fast growing.

Origin: Tropical and southern regions of Africa.

I have experience of caring and growing these plants. I have grown these plants as babies from my mature mother plant, giving them the appropriate care and soil. Happy to help with any enquiries.

I love these plants having several in my house and have now run out of room. These are well known as hardy plants and can survive quite a bit of neglect. They are also quite well known for oxygenating and filtering air indoors.

(I've noticed quite a few for sale in garden centres and florists).

All plants will be carefully packaged to ensure safe transit.
