Sterling Oval Tufa Cast Pendant Turquoise Inlay Coral
Michael Perry Navajo
Here's an outstanding piece from award-winning and famous
Navajo silversmith Michael Perry. On a tufa cast base, the artist overlaid an
oval frame, as well as geometric patterns radiating from the center. Red coral
triangular pieces are inlaid into the overlay patterns. A gorgeous oval
turquoise stone is set in a castellated bezel. Although it'll be tough to see
in the photos, the stone is polychrome, with lighter blues on the bottom
grading to slightly darker blue towards the top. The bail is a larger size and
is hand stamped.
The pendant is 1 7/16" wide and 1
15/16" tall. From the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant is
about 2 5/8".
The turquoise stone is 3/8" by 3/4".
The opening for the bail is 3/8", a good size to
accommodate a larger chain or your favorite set of beads.
It weighs 26.5 g.
The artist's hallmark is "MP" indicating Navajo
artisan Michael Perry, whose amazing work is carried by top retail galleries in
Sedona, Scottsdale, and throughout New Mexico.
