Overall open hearth started out as pictured, I just wiped it down and it had virtually no grease or oxidization on the stainless tub, rack or motor and or rotisserie spit bar or meat forks. 

The stainless steel body has water spots on the bottom side, drip tray is aluminum and does have some discoloration.

Motor is whisper quiet, heating element did not have grease or grime on it and of course heats up perfectly.

Owners instruction booklet does have a few sticky areas on the front cover, since it was taped to the rack for storage purpose's
