This is a beautiful US Naval Aviator 1970s G-1 flight jacket made by Brill Bros., Inc. as part of the first (out of seven) contract awarded to the company for the MIL-J-7823 E design naval aviator jacket in 1971. Main features of the Brill Bross "E" model of G-1 jackets are the synthetic fur collars (introduced with the "D" model), the exclusion of the USN stencil (in white, black, or silver) on the back of the leather collar, and an overall boxier body construction.

Another particular feature is the shell's mid-brown soft goatskin leather, and a mid-brown rayon liner; both in great condition showing no signs of wear nor holes. There are no signs of the jacket having ever been decorated with painted art nor patches and is as clean as it was in 1971 when issued to a naval aviator. The knit wool waistband and cuffs are brand new and correct for the contract year of this G-1 jacket, maintaining total elasticity. The collar is the original dark brown synthetic fur with no signs of wear and plenty of body.

Features and decorations include:

- Original Scovil brass zipper

- USN punctured stencil on the wind flap

- Original manufacturer's tag

- Original pocket buttons

The jacket comes in a comfortable size 42 (Large) with the following dimensions:

Armpit Width: 22 in.

Sleeve Length (end of shoulder to end of cuff): 25 in.

Back Length: 25 in.

Shoulder Width: 18 in.

Original G-1 jackets from the 1970s in wearable conditions are becoming difficult to find. I am asking a fixed price considering its state. However, a reasonable offer will be considered.
