Obverse – The design concept of the coin memorialises JKR’s important role in national infrastructure development over the last 150 years. At the centre of the coin is Menara Kerja Raya, JKR’s primary office complex. The coin background features geometric patterns inspired by design elements from Menara Kerja Raya. The silhouette of a group of construction crew on the left side of the coin is symbolic of JKR’s workforce, the backbone of the implementation of development projects and maintenance of infrastructure assets.

Reverse – The name “BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA” as the issuing authority of the numismatic coins is shown on the top of the coin. The logo for JKR’s 150^th anniversary is shown on the left side of the coin, while the face value of “10 RINGGIT” is depicted on the right. Repeated silhouettes of the shape of JKR’s logo are used as the background of this coin.
