A beautiful classic vintage Christian Dior long black maxi coat.  You know if it it by Christian Dior it is going to be beautiful and elegant which it is.

A very heavy heavy coat that will be wonderful if one lives in a very cold and snowy location such as New York, Chicago, Detroit, Michigan, etc.  I would have loved having a coat llike this when I lived in Chicago and other areas in Illinois many decades ago.

Attached scarf which can be worn in a few different ways.  (See photos)  There are 4 round shiny black  buttons going down the front with diagonal pockets on the side of the coat. Fully lined.  International Ladies Garment Workers Union tag inside.  Tag that says size 12.   Made in the U.S. A. tag inside.  The Christian Dior label is idential to a label which is from 1980 on the Vintage Fashion Guild site and my thanks to them. Some photos have been lighted so the detail may be shown.

Size: 12 but go by the measurements rather than the size tag. I wear a size 10 and it was a bit large on me.  So go by the measurements rather than the size tag. Measure a coat that you own that fits you well and compare measurements with that coat and the measurments of this coat.  Remember you will be wearing the coat over other clothes so make sure that you get the coat a bit larger than a blouse you would buy.

Bust: 45 - 46 if you need a bit more room, the button on the front could be moved some to give one a bit more room.

Fabric:  No tag but feels like wool

Condition:  Very good - a  7-/3/4" section of the hem needs to be hemed but not difficult to do for such a small length.  Dry cleaners can do it when you take it in to be cleaned which I always recommend. Store mark on label.
