Usage Step

● STEP 1

Open the film door for the camera and protect the shutter with apiece of cardboard or something similar to avoid accidental damage to the delicate shutter. The F80/N80 door removal is quite difficult compared to the F100 and I recommend not removing the door.Please be careful of the shutter during filing and installation of the kit.

● STEP 2

Place the filing guide over the broken latch area on the film back.This filing guide is designed to mask over the areas of the original plastic that do not need to be removed.

● STEP 3

Using a needle file, file away the area of the original plastic that is exposed when the filing guide is in place. Remove the filing guide and test fitment of the metal latch. The latch must rest flush on the (2)plastic ribs.If this is not the case, continue to file and test fit until the latch rests evenly on the plastic ribs.

● STEP 4

Prepare the surfaces on both the original plastic and the metal latch for gluing by cleaning the area. A cotton Q-Tip or similar is recommended for this. Both mating surfaces need to be cleaned to insure good ahesion.

● STEP 5

Dry fit the metal latch onto the (2) ribs and is centered on the original plastic. Once fit is confirmed, Apply 3 small drops of superglue onto the mating surface of the latch and center the latch onto the camera back plastic. Press and Hold for 10 seconds and wait a few minutes for the superglue to set.The door should now be fixed and ready for use.
