I believe this is a Kestner 12" baby doll from the early 1900's. It is mark 144 and 9/0 on the back of the shoulders. This has the bisque head, arms and leather body, see pictures. This comes with a very fancy dress and long curls that can be attached to the head. I have included a couple of extra curls. There is also a nice purse. I was told when I purchased this that it was a Kestner, when I listed it I received the following comments:
"I am talking about the body and when an item isn’t original to the doll, you are required to mention it. The head part that has the crack is not a type of thing these socket head’s have. It look’s as if someone opened it to fix the eyes and then glued it back on. The arm’s are replaced. I have collected, bought, sold and appraised doll’s for over 45 yrs. It also (look’s like) the new body is covering up some chip’s where the head attaches to the body".
I personnally know very little about dolls so selling as is with the information that I have.
