Description

It has been opened, but the item is in almost unused condition.

In 1989, Wolf Eriksson, a renowned producer of old music for “Telefunken,” “Ceon,” and “DHM,” decided to establish a label specializing in old music, VIVARTE, within Sony Classical. Together with the artists who had recorded with him amicably up to that point, he left us with the wonderful results of many period instrument recordings. The core of this group was Anner Bylsma, who was one of the leading figures in period instrument performance in Belgium and the Netherlands. The “L'Archibudelli,” formed around him, has left a wide variety of repertoire for the label with its flexible compositions. Other musicians include Lutz Kirchhoff (lute), Frieder Bernius (conductor) Stuttgart Chamber Choir, Bruno Weill (conductor), Paul van Nevel (conductor) Wörgus Ensemble, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Gustav Leonhardt, Kuijken It is probably the skill of the famous producer W. Eriksson that has consistently provided high-quality old music performances, such as those of the three brothers. Not only the performances, but also the recordings, are reproduced in infinitely excellent sound using state-of-the-art 20-bit recording, SBM, and other revolutionary signal technologies of the time.

This box contains a selection of highly acclaimed albums on this label, and is a rich collection of period instrumental music from a wide range of artistic periods, from the Middle Ages to the Romantic period, from various angles.
