Offered here are two unique abstract works on embossed handmade paper by acclaimed artist Ann Dergara, who was born in 1940 and currently lives in North Carolina. Technically these two pieces are a diptych, that is, two complementary works meant to be displayed side by side. Each of the handmade paper mixed media paintings are in excellent condition and are approximately 18 inches by 24 inches. The sturdy plexiglas frames are 19 ¼ inches wide, 25 ¼ inches tall and 1 ¾ inches deep. Please review the accompanying photographs carefully as they are the most important part of the description.

These two pieces, titled “Secrets I” and “Secrets II,” are done in pastel shades of dusty pink, turquoise and gray, with gold highlights on textured handmade paper. Each unique piece is named, signed, and numbered in pencil. We’re not sure because of the uneven texture of the paper just how the ink or paint was applied, but believe it may have been silk screened, that is serigraphy. Even though these pieces were printed in editions of 300, because of the process and the nature of the paper, we believe each one is somewhat unique.

We only ship within the United States and are offering USPS priority mail, USPS ground advantage or FedEx ground or home delivery for these two pieces. In order to protect the prints and their Plexiglas frames during shipment, each of the two has been wrapped in foam board with  the corners cushioned with Styrofoam corner protectors. Then each of the pictures has been secured in a separate corrugated box and the two boxes have been strapped together to be shipped as one item. The shipping cost eBay displays include FedEx’s or USPS’s shipping cost plus the $38.95 cost to us of the corrugated boxes, the protective foam boards, and the Styrofoam corners. We charge nothing for labor or “handling.” We do accept returns, if notified within thirty days of receipt, and the pieces are returned in the condition in which they were received.
