HEXTECH Aeroplex Starter Bundle - 6mm Scale Terrain for Tabletop Wargames

Designed for 6-10mm scale tabletop war games.

The HEXTECH Aeroplex is a modular construction set designed to create a comprehensive and multi-purpose air or spaceport, including anything from a small pirate airstrip with subterranean storage to a civilian or commercial complex launching and receiving a series of civilian shuttles from orbit.

With surface admin/control terminals, large scale hangars with playable interiors, and a fully modular series of runway construction pieces including equipment/craft elevators and launch catapults to service a subterranean military facility, this expandable core set creates a more open battlespace with many wide open spaces and fewer, larger blocking structures to hide behind.

The Starter Bundle comprises the following pieces:

A multi part kit printed in PLA at 0.2mm layer height on high quality printers. This is supplied unpainted and will require construction. Mechs in the images are for scale illustration only and are not included.

HEXTECH Terrain System Standard Features

• Designed to fit into a standard hex grid of 1.25"
• Gameplay friendly top surfaces. Most top surfaces feature subtle markings to delineate which hex space they represent and where the boundaries are.
• Model stability features. Where possible, top surfaces or other legal placement areas are designed to provide a stable platform to place a hex-based model without wobbling or falling.
• Standardized elevation levels. Hextech is designed so that horizontal surfaces will all fall into the same vertical heights so that Level 1, 2, 3, etc are the same across all of your buildings, hills, etc.
• Easy paint design. Details are designed to survive a healthy coating of your choice of aerosol filler primer, which will help to minimize the effect of FDM print lines on the visual finish and allow you to quickly and easily paint your terrain.

Why we chose to use PolyTerra PLA:

• Improved Ductility - PolyTerra™ PLA delivers improved ductility which is less brittle (Charpy Impact) in X-Y axis than standard PLA formulations.
• Easy Sanding - PolyTerra™ PLA is softer and easier to sand in comparison to regular PLA filaments and can be easily painted.
• Bioplastic PLA Formula - PolyTerra™ PLA is a newly developed material from Polymaker called FBC (Fully Bio Compound). It is a compound of high quality Ingeo PLA and compounded with naturally occurring elements. PLA is biodegradable under industrial composting conditions however the degradation rate is very slow in ambient temperatures. Polymakers FBC formula ​contains less PLA plastic to degrade making PolyTerra™ PLA a more environmental friendly material.
• Eco-sustainable Packaging Carbon Offset - Polymaker are committed to helping combat plastic waste, as such PolyTerra™ PLA comes on a fully recycled cardboard spool with recycled labels and box. Furthermore, Polymaker will plant one tree in Australia through the ONETREEPLANTED association for every locally sold spool of PolyTerra™ PLA.
