This is an original press photo. David Wayne is another of Hollywood's newest screen sensations who came to Movieland via Broadway. Signed to a screen contract while enacting a leading role in the Broadway hit, Mr. Roberts, this Travers City, Michigan-born actor proved to be an immediate hit with film fans. The heavy beard which he is wearing is for his current role in a dramatic war-time picture now being filmed. With Wayne in this photo is his wife, Jane, an actress whom he wed in 1941.
