Gorgeous restored antique condition!
An amazing statement piece in a nice large size.
Freshly rewired, polished, new sockets installed and working well.
The cased glass shade has lovely pressed roses, hand painted in pastel colors.
The interior glass layer is shiny white, and the outer layer of glass is frosted, which creates a beautiful satin, soft finish.
The solid brass fixture poles & canopy have been polished and lacquered to protect the beautiful finish - a few small spots where the polishing went through to a bit of copper on the canopy - not noticed when installed (see closeups).
The brass has no cracks or gouges - a couple of tiny dings in the canopy, which won't be noticed when in use.
The glass has no cracks - just some tiny, faint marks here and there and a few small, normal "flea bite" chips along the top cut edge.
Use 4 standard-base light bulbs up to 100 watts each, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light.
Light bulbs not included.
This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan - see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer:
The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings. Many thanks to Bob's wife, Luce, for contacting us and allowing us to share his collection with the world! :)
