1963 Press Photo Alvin P Hornbeck arrested in connection with vehicular accident

This is an original press photo. A Metairie man died early Saturday after being thrown from his car and run over by it, according to the Jefferson parish sheriff's office. Earlier, in New Orleans, police arrested a man when they found him washing blood from his automobile less than two hours, after a pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver. The man, Alvin P. Hornbeck, 35, 10140 Hayne, was booked with negligent homicide in connection with accident. He was arrested about 12:45 a.m. Saturday. The Jefferson accident occurred about 1:20 a.m. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 01-27-1963.
