I know it seems weird to say that they are in excellent condition, but actually other than the cosmetic things that make these "seconds" they are in wonderful condition.
12 ounces
5 1/4 inch tall, 3 1/4 inch wide at the top
Blue tape with arrow(s) mark what I think might have been what the factory determined made it a second.
Tumbler #1 - An unusual paint technique. On the apple it looks like the brush was lifted off leaving sort of a suction mark. Odd green on stem and some splatter on cream. Chip in rim, but it's under the glaze. See photos for #1.
Tumbler #2 - Defect in the bottom of the cup. I filled it with water, and it did not change color (like with crazing) so whatever is going on it is sealed. See photos for #2.
Tumbler #3 - Very small green smudge on apple side. One of the leaves on the non-apple side the paint is thicker than normal. Inside there are 2 pin hole type marks. I filled it with water, and it did not change color (like with crazing) so whatever is going on it is sealed. See photos for #3.
Tumbler #4 - One of the leaves on the apple side looks like the green was moved from the leaf to the cream part. See photos for #4.
With all my pieces when I bring them home, I hand wash them.
I do this because I don’t believe you can truly say there is “no crazing”
without getting them wet. Crazing can
hide.
So, when I say there are no chips,
cracks, crazing or repairs, I have done my due diligence to discover any
defects.
