Description: An original, antique copper-plate engraved map of the county of Westmorland printed on hand laid paper. The map is hand coloured and has a decorative title cartouche and distance scale as well as numerous armorial shields.

Provenance: 'Atlas Novus', published in Amsterdam, c.1648
Condition: Very good condition. Light age toning. Centrefold as published. Faint browning along the centrefold. Marginal closed tear to the lower margin, professionally repaired on the verso. Hand coloured. Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
