Rare Faux Tortoiseshell Mythical Circular Snuff Box, this I believe to be c1850 making it around 170 years old. 

This is a Circular Snuff Box with the Lid and the Base being made from Faux Tortoiseshell and Engraved with a wonderful gilded Dragon, the Lid pulls of to reveal the inside being crafted from Faux Tortoiseshell to the inside Lid and the inside Base, the Colours to the Faux Tortoiseshell are really Beautiful, and the Lid opens and closes securely with a nice tight fit when closed. 

The colours of the faux Tortoiseshell dance with deep rich browns and oranges, its stunning, the quality of the craftsmanship is breathtaking.  

This Box is so very tactile and once held has the most wonderful feel.

This is a Rare Faux Tortoiseshell Circular Snuff Box and would have been owned by someone Wealthy back in the day, there is a very small split in the base, but is only mentioned for accuracy and doesn't detract from the Beauty of this Item, and is only mentioned for accuracy, and this really would add something special to any collection
