Kithurst Carving Fork. vintage probably from the 1970s as I
see no patent number, which patent was pending in 1956. Made in Sheffield,
England by Butlers. No box.
Approx 10 inches long
The Fork has 12 spikes on an oval plate set at an angle to
the handle for easy use & safety when carving.
I don’t know what the handle is made from, though it is a
whitish, ivory-ish material, maybe
bakelite or something of that kind. It
is not bone, I am fairly certain. It is in quite good condition with some
scratches on the oval where the spikes are attached and some scratching on the
metal above the handle. It is stamped ‘A Kithurst Product Made in England.
Very interesting concept of a carving fork.
Very Good Condition.
