Here is a high-gloss vibrantly colorful majolica serving dish with a hand painted vegetable or plant of purple, white and green on a mottled yellow-gold background.  There are caramel brown edges and leaf designs on the four speckled sides. The design is expertly crafted by the artists of Santa Rosa, Guanajuato in Mexico.  The region is known for its famous art colony.

The lovely deep dish is in excellent condition with no signs of use or wear.

The gorgeous piece of Mexican pottery measures 7.75" square including a 1/2" rim.  It stands 2" tall on a square ring foot and weighs 1 lb. 2 oz.   

There are backside holes to string a hanger for wall-mounting when not in use, making for a stunning artwork dish for country or contemporary kitchen decor.

The handwritten backstamp reads "Mayolica, Sta Rosa, Guanajuato, Mexico". There's also small artist symbol drawing.
