After their highly acclaimed debut album "Square Moon", Belgian electronic cold wave band DER KLINKE move another step forward with "The Second Sun" containing 10 hypnotic songs which again will very well please every fan of unusual dark electronic music.

Compared to today’s "trendy EBM and dark wave styles", their noncommercial but rich sound demonstrates their capability to create an album, which inspires the traditional "album listener". "The Second Sun" is more than ever the musical countermovement to almost every cliché having evolved from the once unique electronic and dark-cold-wave styles during the past 30 years.

The cooperation with Martin Bowes (Attrition), who contributes to the song “The Game”, indicates their own claim to create songs rich in content and depth.

Musically speaking the new album adds some more epic styles, which find their climax in the powerful title track "The Second Sun". Dark ambient ("Chasing Chadows") and guitar-oriented acoustic songs ("Universal Energy") as well as heavy keyboard driven songs like "Las Fabricas" define all together the variable and always unique style of this album.

"The Second Sun" is not a "one-hit-wonder club album", it is a collection of songs the listener gets more and more sucked into with each and every running time.

Nach ihrem hochgelobten Debütalbum „Square Moon“ geht die belgische Elektro-Cold-Wave-Band DER KLINKE mit „The Second Sun“ noch einen Schritt weiter. Die 10 hypnotischen Songs des Albums werden wieder jeden Fan von ungewöhnlicher düster-elektronischer Musik über die Maßen erfreuen.

Verglichen mit den heutigen „trendy EBM und Dark Wave Stilen“ demonstriert ihr unkommerzieller, jedoch satter Sound ihre Fähigkeit, ein Album zu erschaffen, welches den traditionellen „Albumhörer“ inspiriert. „The Second Sun” ist mehr denn je die musikalische Gegenbewegung zu fast jedem Klischée, das sich in den letzten 30 Jahren aus den einst einzigartigen Elektro- und Dark-Cold-Wave-Stilen entwickelt hat.
