About the Artist : Over twenty five years Robert Summers has been one of America's most collectible limited edition print artists. Robert is strongly influenced by two American traditions, the Old West and the Civil War. Robert is also one of America's noted sculptors. His sculpture pieces are located through out the United States. The most visited site in Dallas, Texas is "The Trail Drive" which is one of Robert's works that consists of three horses and riders, along with 70 longhorn steers. It is located in front of the "Dallas Convention Center". Whether Robert is painting Civil War, Western, or Buffalo Soldiers the one constant is detailed research. Robert says "I feel that if the subject is to come alive, I must know all there is to know about the subject, almost as if I were the subject". Robert lives with his wife Boo in Glen Rose, Texas.
