Unlike others for sale this one is specifically designed for the YJ. Major Jeep parts catalogs sell shifter extensions that are a poor fit, with threads that are too short both internally and externally, they're smaller diameter than the factory shifter and they're made from aluminum. This corrects all those problems.

These are made from high strength alloy steel, they match the diameter of the shifters perfectly and both the internal and external threads are the right length so they will thread all the way flush with the shifter and your shifter knob will fit without modification. They are black zinc plated for corrosion resistance and are ready to install.

The threads are 3/8"-16.

These are also a perfect fit for CJ5's, CJ7's and Scramblers from 1980-1986 on the manual transmission shifter.
