Oh my gosh, what an adorable little piglet. He’s very old with a fully crazed smooth round body. His eyelashes are long and his freckled snout ends with a big pink nose.

Measures 3 ¼” long x 1 ½” wide x 2” tall. The little guy has a glossy glaze over white with a hint of light yellow here and there.

The vintage ceramic condition is good considering it was crafted in the 1940s. The only damage is a chip on the bottom of two of the feet.

Backstamp: The maker’s mark is a silver and black paper label attached to the underside of his belly and reads “de Lee Art, California, Hand Decorated”.

The name deLee stood for the names of the Los Angeles pottery owners Delores and Lee Mitchell. They produced distinctive hand-painted figurines from 1937 to 1950s.
