A fine Japanese cloisonné eight-lobed twin-handled koro and cover, Meiji period, possibly by Ota Hyozo, with a liner, the lobed body finely decorated with 8 panels containing, irises, cherry blossom branch with a bird, chrysanthemums, wisteria, peonies, lilies and hibiscus, the handles decorated with half flower heads, the rim with a lappet border, with further complex lappets to the cover, the base with a flower head surrounded by scrolls, height (including cover): 4 7/8in., 12.3cm; condition: small area of restoration to lower body
