Vintage Richelieu Iridescent Lucite Bubble Earrings, Screwback

Beautiful elegant 1940s-50s earrings. Marked RICHELIEU on screw back. In excellent vintage condition.

Early Richelieu jewelry was unmarked. By the 1950s, the Richelieu logo was often used on hang tags and packaging in script lettering. Most marks found on the actual jewelry, however, are all caps in block lettering.

Richelieu jewelry was produced by Joseph H. Myer & Bros. in Brooklyn, New York, beginning in 1911. Richelieu, Inc. was formed through a merger with Heller-Deltah Company, the maker of Deltah Pearls, in 1933, according to an article in the New York Times.
